Turning Days West – Westfalenhallen Dortmund – June 9-11 2015

A look back at a successfully completed event for Remmel.

During the Turning Days West – a trade exhibition for companies and suppliers in the machining industry – many people expressed their interest for the Remmel stand.  At this stand Cellro showed its Xcelerate. According to the director of Remmel – Mr Ulrich Remmel – this exhibition was very successful, because many people came to his stand.

Great interest for Xcelerate

The great attraction of the Remmel stand was Xcelerate, the smallest cell of Cellro, equipped with a Fanuc M-10iA robot, a quick-change system for grippers, a take-over/centering unit, and product drawers - all integrated into a compact unit enabling a long time automated production. Xcelerate, very suitable for small to medium series, is based on modularity: built around a core and due to its flexible software easily expandable to the situation of the customer. Based on this principle the automation of Cellro grows with its customers’ needs.

Good results partnership

By now Xcelerate is, after its introduction two years ago, a familiar sight a at various fairs. Together with a Fanuc Robodrill this combination draws lots of visitors. On the stand Ulrich Remmel himself, Detlef Scholz (Remmel) and Eric de Hoog (Cellro) answered the visitors’ questions very enthusiastically. Cellro uses the formula that they operate with distributors on the local market to operate close to the customer and also provide technical service. The partnership between Cellro and Remmel proves with good results that this formula works.

Successful future

During an interview with Mr. Remmel on the Turning Days West, he said that he notices the growing interest amongst visitors. According to him this is caused by the reputation of the partnership between Remmel and Cellro. He says that demand has emerged in the combination of its products with the automation of Cellro. Due to this reputation, he makes a comparison with the development of the market after 1945 until now: he sees that there is a movement from a customer-driven market since 1945 to a sales-driven market in the 70s to another customer driven market now with Cellro’s current automation.

In short: a successful future lies ahead for Remmel and Cellro because of the great interest in the combination Remmel/Cellro.
